French Supervisory authority concurs that C2RO Perceive™ does not present high residual risks for the privacy rights of individuals as deployments expand across Europe.
Montreal, Canada — June 3, 2020 — C2RO has proudly announced today that the CNIL, an independent French administrative regulatory body whose mission is to ensure that data privacy law is properly applied by technology firms, concurred with C2RO’s Office of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) that the company’s AI video analytics solution Perceive™, does not present a high residual risk for the privacy rights of individuals. This represents a significant step in C2RO’s commitment to ensuring compliance with European regulations including GDPR for protecting personal data while delivering state-of-the-art mission-critical AI software products to businesses and communities across Europe.
Developed by the Montreal-based start-up C2RO, C2RO PerceiveTM uses a store’s surveillance cameras to understand the journey customers take throughout the store. This provides information on the preferences and behaviours of customers and allows businesses to develop demographic profiles of their different in-store visitors.
