Congratulations to Emanuel Peinke and Mohamed Fouda from Optius
Optius is a recently formed start-up that uses light to solve one of the biggest problems in modern computation: Time and energy consumption of data transfer. We believe that emerging technologies, like autonomous driving, will benefit significantly from our technology. The extremely fast computation would allow true and robust real-time decision making. We foresee applications for Artificial Intelligence, Big data, High-performance computing, Autonomous driving, and High-frequency trading.
Emanuel Peinke, Ph.D. — Co-founder
Emanuel is a physicist and holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Optics, obtained at CEA Grenoble. He later focused on innovative optics and cares about high social and environmental impact. He loves road cycling, cross country skiing, and good food.
Mohamed Fouda, Ph.D. — Co-founder
Mohamed is an engineer and researcher. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University where he focused on integrated photonics and light-matter interactions. Before that, he earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on optimizing digital computations. In his free time, he likes to read about technology and innovation.
